Its cold outside! Here on the bottom of the world, in late July, its actually winter, believe it or not. I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around it, even if I have totally acclimatized and now feel "cold" at 55 degrees fahrenheit.

Well, this cold snap has inspired me to think WINTER for Flames of War, and as I was trawling through my boxes for a pre-assembled project to work on, I stumbled upon five T-34/85s. Years ago I painted one in whitewash, which was my second attempt at such a scheme.

Battlereport: The Battle for Cabourg

Patrick and I were finally able to play our game between his SS-Panzergrenadiers and my Grenadier Guards Armoured Squadron for WWPD's Normandy campaign.

We chose to fight at Cabourg, owing to the lumpy terrain on our table. We cited the dips and gullies as Difficult Going, reflecting the flooded areas.

Start Yer Motors!

After some time away, I've finally got some time together to write up a little article about Motor companies. This came up as a topic because I just finished my M5 half-tracks for my Grenadier Guards motor platoon.

I'm keen to expand this into a full motor company. You know that British force everyone says is horrible? Well, from this player's perspective, its not. And here's why: FIREPOWER.

Let's talk a little Flames of Theory.
